Est. 1969 — and just getting started
Every town has a room where things get decided, celebrated and occasionally exaggerated. This is ours.
The doors open
The Campbell River Business Society opens a members' club in the heart of downtown. The idea is simple: good company, a proper drink, and a comfortable place to close the deal — or celebrate it.
Making the room our own
A round of renovations gives the lounge the warm, unhurried character members still recognize today. The chairs get deeper. The evenings get longer.
The deck goes on
We add the deck and discover we'd been sitting beneath the best view in downtown Campbell River all along. Summer evenings are never quite the same again.
A downtown fixture
Retirements, anniversaries, quiet Tuesdays and loud Fridays. The Club settles into its role as one of downtown's steadiest gathering places, one good evening at a time.
A new chapter
We open our doors wider: new members, open-house days, and a space the whole community can book for its own occasions. The next fifty years start here.
